This is how I feel right now, lolol. Warehousing is kicking my 44 year old ass. On paper getting a warehouse job was a great idea, in real life not so much. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE how my body is looking lately, but it's coming at a cost. I'm exhausted, stiff, sore, and just mentally clocked out. At least the decision to continue will most likely be made by the company. The supply chain industry has been hit hard by Trump's stupid tariffs and most likely we are going to be seeing a ton of layoffs pretty soon.

Personally, they can furlough and/or lay me off, because this isn't my primary source of income, plus my broken body needs a break. I will feel awful for those who financially depend on this job to support themselves and their families when the layoffs/furloughs officially hit.

Sadly, elections have consequences and we are seeing it play out in real time (Trump campaigned on Tariffs Making America Great Again).

Anyways, I will cherish looking at that sexxxy man a.k.a my former manager, because damnit, the man is too delicious looking, while I still can.

I had to get a second job because the losses to my retirement, general savings and all around financial situation just sucks. Right now the U.S. creative industry is a dumpster fire on an epic scale. If you want to earn anything higher than $30 per hour doing design work right now good luck! Or if you do freelance (me), good luck on finding new clients. Each design job posting nets hundreds of job applicants (I saw one on LinkedIn that had over 1,000 applicants). FUCK THAT and FUCK GRAPHIC DESIGN.

Anyways, I got a job doing...warehousing. Yes, in addition to doing graphic design, I'm now a warehouse associate, lol. It's a great way to continue losing weight/get toned and get extra money for doing it 😆 I probably won't pass my probationary period (thank god, I hurt, a lot when I come home, lol), but it's ok, I can always do warehouse gig work for a nationwide logistics company. All I need is to work one shift per month and I'll remain active in the program. It's a great way to give myself some breathing room while I figure out my next steps in my shitty design career.

I promised this was supposed to be short, so in closing I'm just too physically tired to do much of anything working two fuckin jobs. A larger update is coming, just needed today to rest.

Long Week

  • Got a speeding ticket
  • Mom got some concerning health news
  • Diet went off the rails
  • Favorite plant finally died
  • Didn't get the job
I can't be mad at anyone but myself for the speeding ticket, but the rest of the stuff, UGH. The high humidity killed my plant. Gotta get a better dehumidifier.

Next week we should get some clarification what the CT scans reveal. Probably just kidney stones, but the inflammation in her kidneys has me really concerned. I was really impressed with the speed they contacted my mom. She has very good healthcare. If it were my doctors I would be dead before they contacted me.

So Far

This year has not started well.

The moron-in-chief has escalated tensions with Iran. Despite the back and forth, I think things will die down, well until the next time. Not worried.

Just now feeling well enough to go outside. I got sick on NYE and missed two much needed work days. I pumped air into my tires and now I feel like I've ran a marathon. Pathetic. At least the chest pains and heart palpitations have almost gone away. Still pretty vulnerable to temperature extremes. Give me another week and I'll be back to my moody healthy self.

Key FOB apparently needs a new battery? Seriously? This stupid car is only a 1.5 years old. My old 2006 Jetta NEVER needed a new battery. Maybe the newer models have more features that the FOB supports? Whatever, I gotta get a new battery. Not expensive, but still.

Haven't heard from the job I want. So frustrating. I hate job hunting, but I hate my current job even more.
