Unfortunate Reality

This is how I feel right now, lolol. Warehousing is kicking my 44 year old ass. On paper getting a warehouse job was a great idea, in real life not so much. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE how my body is looking lately, but it's coming at a cost. I'm exhausted, stiff, sore, and just mentally clocked out. At least the decision to continue will most likely be made by the company. The supply chain industry has been hit hard by Trump's stupid tariffs and most likely we are going to be seeing a ton of layoffs pretty soon.
Personally, they can furlough and/or lay me off, because this isn't my primary source of income, plus my broken body needs a break. I will feel awful for those who financially depend on this job to support themselves and their families when the layoffs/furloughs officially hit.
Sadly, elections have consequences and we are seeing it play out in real time (Trump campaigned on Tariffs Making America Great Again).
Anyways, I will cherish looking at that sexxxy man a.k.a my former manager, because damnit, the man is too delicious looking, while I still can.

Date: 2025-07-24 12:32 am (UTC)The cuts to those essential programs are criminal!
When the ACA passed, it provided a way to expand Medicaid in participating states. Around 2014 I was finally able to go on Medicaid to see a doctor. If it weren't for Medicaid/ACA my ovarian tumor and hidden liver issue would have gone unchecked for who knows how long.
SNAP/food stamps where there for my elderly mom and sister when they needed them. Without that program the financial burden would've fallen solely on me during a challenging time when I was struggling to find steady work.
I hope your state/local county can find additional help for those affected by these cuts. I'm bracing for my insurance premium to skyrocket to unaffordable levels since the subsidies the ACA funded will likely be cut/eliminated.
