So I've been wearing flats for about three months. It didn't occur to me since I have extremely flat feet (zero arch) that perhaps flats weren't the best shoe choice LOL. I didn't want to wear heels, so I settled on flats. To make a long story short I bought some nifty arch, ball and heel supports to put inside of my shoes. My right foot is still hurting, but at least it's on the mend :)

Still hot and crappy.

Signed up for POF and OkCupid. I have yet to place my picture or fill out my profile. I don't think it's for me or maybe I'm just making excuses. I guess I just can't pull the trigger on dating, because if memory serves correctly dating is tedious and sucky. I don't know I'll think about it.

It's been hot out here in Southern California. I HATE summers here. During the hotest months it can easily reach up to the 110's. I need to move to a cooler area. Washington state maybe? LOL

I bought some cute but really cheap tanks from Walmart for $5. Perfect for hot weather. I wear them with a cardigan. I also bought some cardigans from Old Navy for $7. They were on sale. Next week I aim to get a red cardigan and yellow one. The yellow is proving hard to find in my size. I also got sale jeans in red and gray. It's so difficult finding an awesome pair of AFFORDABLE color jeans in my size 18W. I love Walmart for jeans, but they don't seem to stock color jeans for long. It's a waiting game.
Admittely I've over spent on clothes in the past month. I need to curb it, if I ever want to pay off my credit cards and move out. But it's so hard! Everything seems to go on sale when I want to save!
*sigh*
I need to win the lotto LOL!

I had a good Memorial Day weekend. Took the family to Palmdale to see our aunt. The trip wasn't so bad. It was about an hour and half drive. While I was there I decided to hit up the local Old Navy store in the Antelope Valley Mall LOL. It was a nice and scenic drive. Lots of cactuses. I wish my aunt would move closer.

Cheesecake has become so adventurous and playful. He's walking the bird table with confidence. Chewing on his blankets, shredding the newspaper that lines the bird table. It's just really great to see considering when he came to us he was cage bound and terrified of venturing outside of the cage. Now he has two favorite toys: his green tennis ball and a string of old yarn and shoe laces that I affectionately call his "ropey toys." I tried buying him actual bird toys but he hated them. Go figure. Maybe Cheesecake and Peaches have more incommon than they realize LOL. Peaches also likes the ropey toys.

Why do I keep watching General Hospital? It's always going to be the Sonny and Carly show. Dumb. I need to stop watching...but what else am I going to watch now that all of my shows save for the Last Ship is set to return in fall '16 and spring '17. Bleh.

So it's April now. So much stuff...
The Good
The Bad
The Good
- I FINALLY got hired and it's local! No more awful soul crushing morning commutes.
- There is three more weeks until the semester is over. I hate school.
- I love my new wardobe.
- Free to exhale. Finished taxes on Sunday and it looks like I'm getting a small refund. Tax software from best to least: Turbo Tax > TaxAct > H&R Block. This will be my first and last time I use H&R Block. There was a reason Amazon had a price cut. Never again.
- Discovered the Prism app. Got all my bills paid and sorted out.
- I have hope again, that my situation will get better.
- Hooked on The Catch.
- I lost weight :)
- Been more physically active, which led to the weight loss.
The Bad
- Burnt-out. I can't bring myself to start on my project or draw...or design. Which is an awful thing considering my job is designing LOL.
- I discovered I hate risographs.
- Got bad news about my cousin. Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. It's not looking good for her :( If anyone happens to read this please pray for her. If Jesus can bring Lazarus back from the dead there is still hope for her.
- The used copy of Adobe CS5 didn't pan out. The seller is a lying sack of poo. Good thing I bought it off of Amazon and was able to get my monies back. But this leaves me without software. CC? Yuck. I guess at this point I have no choice. I just wish Affinity would hurry up and release the beta for Windows already.
- Had a mini spiritual meltdown and axed bible study. In my defense my bible study partner had very little life expereince in well...everything lol. I'm sure once she goes through more gut wrenching trials she'll grow some empathy until then...BYE! LOL
EEeeeeeeeee
Feb. 3rd, 2016 04:46 pmWhat a week this has been. I'm now a few weeks into this semester and I have to say...I look forward to my very last day of school. I've mentally and physically clocked out. My sequential imaging class is nothing like I thought it was going to be. Basically it sucks. On a better note my production class is better than it was the last time I took and dropped it LOL.
...
I had a heart-to-heart with God about my situation and how I felt about it. When I woke up I felt different, almost like a new person. I've grown pretty angry and fustrated about my situation and blamed it on God. After a rather long and angry prayer session I went to sleep to awaken unburdened, no longer angry or bitter. To say I feel better is an understatement.
...
After my prayer session I got an email notification about a job that I applied to last month. I've scheduled the interview for Febraury 17th :). FINALLY!!! I don't think it was a coincidence. He definately deserves praise for this :)
...
In addition to getting new eyeglasses I went shoe shopping. No, I didn't get gazilion new designer pumps that I don't need. I got super cheap shoes that were on sale and/or clearance. Basically the shoes I have now are ready for the landfill. I also had to get very expensive refills for my Copic markers.

So I got my replacement glasses. Well...they were cheap LOL. I should accept these types of glasses are not made for my face. I'll make them my sunglasses.
...
Feeling MUCH better! That awful cold is almost gone.
...
Stupid insurance claim issues.
*Sigh*
At least I'm owed monies! Should get everything cleared up by Monday.
...
Client is having difficulty paying me. Lucky for him I'm very understanding. I gave him until Tuesday to pay me the remaining balance LOL. We'll see if he comes through.
...
Ever come across stuff that you wrote years and years ago? Yeah. All I wanted to do was slap the ever living crap out of my younger self. Talk about living through rose-colored naive glasses. I probably will always have some degree of naivety, but the infantile accepting BS is gone. "Love" doesn't conquer all and it sure doesn't require one to sacrifice so much of ourselves to make a no-win situation work.
I guess that's just a part of growing-up and life in general right? Making sure one doesn't repeat the same idiot mistakes over and over again...
...
I got to get a smog check.
Bleh.
Time for a new car? LOL
...
My domain name provider's SMTP server is down. Thanks a lot Name Guard! Now I can't use my phone or gmail to reply to client emails.
*sigh*
First world problems...

General Wishlist
May. 23rd, 2014 06:53 pmIt's that time again where I post all the materialistic crap I lust after! Yays!
1. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 - Yeah it has an N-trig pen, but recently I've heard good things about it. I HATE Wacom's monopoly on tablets, so I hope N-trig has finally got their stuff together. It would be nice to have a legit two player (or more) race in order to drive down prices on tablets and tablet pcs. Who wants to pay $2000 for a glorified monitor with a pen?
2. ???? - Ummm...I guess that's it! Oh wait I do want new eye glasses. I found a few that I LOVE on zennioptical.com.
3. Meh. Nothing else.
