It hit 115 today. The heat is killing me. As I get older the less tolerance I have for the excessive heat. I drove in my air conditioned car for a few hours. Thank goodness for that.
...
Returned to work on Monday. My boss brought me back with more pay and more hours, but the catch is I'm now a contractor, not an employee. Whatever. I wasn't getting benefits anyways as an employee. Plus I can work my own hours and from home.
...
Trump is still an embarrassing Putin puppet. The Republicans are still spineless little worms. So nothing new on that front.
I wanted to sketch Paul Ryan, but I didn't feel like doing anything. The heat just sucks the life outta me.

Another Hot Day
Jul. 2nd, 2016 12:48 amIt was hot today. Too hot. Just cleaning Peaches and Cheesecake's cages had me sweating up a storm.
Yuck.
The heat is making me sluggish and irritable. I'm certainly not alone. There were a lot of impatient and angry drivers yesterday trying to get to their July 4th destinations (Mostly Las Vegas). The miserable heat did not help things.
I don't get it. What's so great about Vegas? Every three-day weekend people rush to Vegas even if that means spending hours on a freeway along with a billion other people. Once you get there you have to contend with like-minded people trying to squeeze a weeks worth of activities into two days. Everywhere you go mobs and mobs of people not to mention the crazy heat. After you've gambled away all your money you get back on that congested freeway and rush home just in time for work the next day. How in the heck is that relaxing?!
No thanks.
I think I'll watch a movie and maybe go out to eat.

Interview
So I have an interview on Tuesday with a job agency specializing in creative fields (art). I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. I'm grateful for a chance to consisently work in a field that I love, but I'm not sure how commuting to the OC everyday is going to affect me. I'm already struggling (energy wise) commuting to Long Beach two days a week. First-thing-first I have to get through the interview. and will take it from there. To be honest I don't feel it's going to lead to anything. Oh well, I have to at least try.

My typography class is ok. I was expecting superior instruction compared to community college, but it would seem my expectations are too high :\
Any ways I found a bunch of sites that offer free fonts:Cantenna
I built a cantenna. I must say it has boosted the target wifi signal by 10% - 30%. I thought that was awesome. In fact I'm posting from that very wifi network as I type :) It's a bit unstable and slow at times, but I'm grateful I have some form of internet.

This heat is awful. Riverside isn't a bad place to live, but when summer rolls around it can be unbearable at times. I wish it would rain or at least lower temperatures.
