Fall Out Continues
Mar. 17th, 2021 09:06 pmAmazon closed the fake account associated with my name and credit card number, it only took three reps and two hang-ups.
Besides spending a good portion of my time with Amazon, I also spent the entire day changing passwords (I have a lot of online accounts), ordering new cards, filing fraud alerts with the credit bureaus, and just being upset at the whole thing.
My Discover card number must've been exposed by a website hack or at a local retailer. I rarely use that card online. Whatever the case may be I'm doing the aforementioned actions as a precaution not because I have reason to believe my other accounts have been compromised (but they may very well be).
But seriously, what hacker sends his/her victim a freakin cat toy? I'm the mouse and he/she is the cat? Whatever, it's Cheesecake's toy now.
And now my day is done, I'm logging off. Some tea and blankets will make me feel better.
