Wrong Medical Record Entry
Feb. 15th, 2023 10:04 pmMy new doctor was going through my medical history from an affiliated medical center. He asked me a series of odd questions, then outright asked what are my antiretroviral medications. Excuse me, but WHAT? I asked him to explain what he was talking about. In the late '90s I took a HIV test, from what I remember the test came back NEGATIVE. You don't forget something like that, but apparently the computerized record says it came back positive.
I asked for a retest to set the record straight. I'm 100% positive (pun not intended) that the test will come back negative.
I mean, this test was done around 1997/1998. If I had HIV, it would have progressed to full blown AIDS, by say 2008ish since I wasn't on any kind of HIV medications. I'm pretty sure I would be dead by now or at the very least very sick.
*SIGH*
Stupid mix-ups.
