Severe Sleep Apnea

Got a call today that my AHI (apnea-hypopnea index) is 70 episodes per hour, apparently that is considered severe sleep apnea. That explains many things, especially my chronic insomnia.

Gotta give credit to my new doctor for LISTENING to my symptoms and ordering the sleep study test. I thought it was a waste of time, but boy was I wrong, lol.

The sleep clinic put in an order for a CPAP machine. Any associated copay will be communicated to me in the following days.

UGH.

I shouldn't complain about wearing a breathing mask to bed, lol. There are worst things...

Hey, hope you're doing okay. I've been so preoccupied with the pet portraits that I haven't had time to check on peeps.

70 episodes an hour? Your chart must have been wild! Did you get a CPAP? My MIL has been going for sleep testing and is hoping to get a BIPAP.

I'm ok, just struggling with the whole CPAP, sleep issues. It's not life threatening, but it has been highly disruptive. And the fact I'm just...lazy, lol. I'll going to make an entry soon about my sleep struggles while on CPAP.

The mask and cushions that come with it are complete garbage. My sleep therapist hooked me up with some free, better quality ones :)
