LOL At My Misery
Oct. 22nd, 2021 07:14 pmDon't feel like writing much, except to say I still dislike HATE my new job. When I have time, which is almost never these days, I put in applications.
Trying to find something that pays well and doesn't kill your soul is difficult.
I'm so tired. I've been working until midnight and weekends since I started. I've been redoing images/projects the last designer did, plus creating collateral for an event that is only two weeks away, lol. Just a few hours ago I uploaded *MOST* of the collateral with some placeholders. It's such a fuckin mess.
The woman who is in charge of logos, is incompetent. I found instances of four out of date logos being used. AND I had to clean up a few. All takes time, when you're pressed against the clock. When I brought it up, I had my ass handed to me, lol. Ok, fine use what the hell you want, I'm pretty sure the sponsors didn't give her an outdated logo when the website has a presskit showing a newer logo, LMAO. I don't care enough to argue.
Yeah, fuck me.
Next time I will ask these questions:
1. Are you in the middle of a major event?
2. What are your deadlines like (I can gage if this is truly part-time work)?
3. Why did the last designer leave? How many designers were in this position in the past year?
4. What kind of file organization do you implement?
5. Describe your working environment.
I ended up writing a whole lot, LOL.
