I've never realized Albatrosses look like gigantic seagulls, lol. Also, I'm amazed how calm the Albatross is when its baby was being handled by a human!
It's funny that "albatross around my neck" exists as a phrase that makes the species seem so unlikable cuz they're such sweeties irl. I love albatrosses.
Is that your own birb in your icon??? I love it, it looks so mischievious and alive.
I remember this beautiful scene from a documentary I watched years ago on Netflix... It was a pair of albatrosses flying to the galapogos to raise their family, I think? I forget, I just know they were doing something along the lines of migration and family stuff. But it was so amazing watching these birds fly together in such a graceful formation and then when they landed, just the way they treated each other was so tender and gentle. They really are beautiful birds.
That's so sweet. Cheesecake is a good name for a cockatiel (^___^) Did you draw that yourself? It's great.
