So it's hard to say--is there not enough time to thrown at a website? Are we using the wrong keywords? Are we being defeated by algorithms? I think it's all the above for me. If I'm being honest with myself I'm not putting in the time, including patience to get anything going.
Etsy is a legit full-time job. I don't know if Etsy still heavily promotes the dream of "quit your day job" like it did ten years ago. Sellers of physical items are facing things with a steep learning curve these days like foreign taxes, privacy rules, the star seller program, shipping delays, customers with high expectations, etc etc. Then, on top of that, you have to figure out the woo-woo magic combo of being seen on the website, which includes keywords, tags, descriptions and title.
A lot of the advice on Etsy seller groups sounds like schoolyard gossip too--spin around in front of your mirror chanting three times and a sale will appear!
Some say you have increased visibility once you stock 50 items. Some say you have increased sales after 100 sales. Who knows?
