Elections matter and have consequences. I hope those who didn't vote understand the importance of voting for a competent candidate. I also hope those who believed our president about COVID-19 being "a Democrat hoax," understand now how serious this is.
Congress is being incredibly slow implementing an economic rescue package for displaced workers. If you don't reassure people that their financial and health care needs are covered, people will be less likely to peacefully comply with any lock down order.
If Italy is any indication, we are looking at our health care facilities being overrun soon. It's already happening in NY, it's only a matter of time before other major cities report the same. Hopefully the shelter-in-place orders will help slow down the spread.
At this time, I'm still working on-site. As a city government worker I'm required to come-in. The City is dragging it's feet implementing a remote work place plan. To make matters worse my former boss, the guy who hired me and an overall great person, was let go on Friday. Bad timing.
So much uncertainty and anxiety.
