Mr. Clutch

Congratulations to Reggie Miller of the Indiana Pacers for being inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Despite never getting that elusive championship ring, Miller will always be a winner to me. He (and others in the '90s) made basketball entertaining. So much so, I had this unhealthly obession with Miller and his antics.

Such fond happy memories.

Reading this quote "Yeah, Michael, I pushed you, too," from the USA Today article I couldn't help but laugh. I remember that game against the Bulls, and I do remember Miller pushing Jordan to get the pass that would steal game 4 of the NBA Easter Conference Finals. It was that very game that made me into a huge Miller fan. After his decline, I lost interest in the Pacers and eventually when Miller retired I stopped watching the NBA all-together.

I just hope that future generations will get to see the awesome clutch abilities Miller was able to deliver in his prime. No one has and probably never will match his 8 points in 8.9 seconds thriller, even if he did 'push off' to get it.
