Losing weight hasn't been easy, but I'm slowly doing it. I'm averaging about a 2 lb lost each week, which for me is pretty damn good! I'm using myfitnesspal app and the web interface to keep track of my daily calorie intake. The first month on Ozempic was wild. I wasn't counting calories thinking Ozempic would magically make me lose weight without any calorie restrictions on my end, lol. Thank god, I awoke from that delusion. Ozempic and other GLP-1 meds are not a magic solution WITHOUT a calorie deficit, meaning you still have to eat healthy and in most cases exercise. If anyone says you can eat anything on the med without doing anything they are lying and most likely on a starvation/puke diet.

There are some days where I just don't want to count calories, exercise and eat healthy, the one and stupid thing that keeps me going is looking forward to updating my weight loss progress across my apps and this blog post. You would think the health of my liver and bringing down my A1c score would be my motivating factors in all this, NOPE, it's not, LMAO. Whatever, I just don't care. If me obsessing beating that scale is driving me toward the end goal, then so be it.

Today I begin week 10 on Ozempic and up my dose from 0.50 mg to 1 mg. Tonight I'll be dreading taking that 1 mg dose. I already started to experience nausea and vomiting at 0.50 mg, going up to 1 mg is going to be...rough.
